Wole Soyinka’s 91st Birthday Tribute: Lagos to host 3-Day musical extravaganza

Lagos is gearing up for a spectacular celebration as the city prepares to host a three-day musical tribute to Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, as he marks his 91st birthday.

The musical, titled “The Noble Warrior (Eni Ogun),” promises to be an unforgettable experience, blending music, dance, and storytelling to showcase the richness of African culture.

Scheduled to run from July 11 to 13 at the historic Glover Memorial Hall, the production will feature two performances daily, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The musical is expected to draw large crowds, all eager to experience the vibrant celebration of Africa’s enduring spirit and the iconic life of Professor Soyinka.

“The Noble Warrior” is more than just a tribute to a literary giant; it’s a powerful exploration of identity, resilience, and the human experience. With its unique blend of music, movement, and storytelling, the production is set to leave a lasting impression on all who attend.
