Video: Chidinma Obishe remanded for violent outburst against officials over pedestrian bridge arrest

A disturbing incident has unfolded in Lagos, where a woman suspected to be from the South East, identified as Chidinma Obishe, allegedly resisted arrest and violently attacked officials after being apprehended for not using the pedestrian bridge at Ojota.

The incident was revealed in a video posted by the Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, on his official X handle.

According to Commissioner Wahab, “Chidinma Obishe resisted arrest when she was apprehended for not using the pedestrian bridge at Ojota.

“She violently attacked some of our personnel.”

The officials were reportedly enforcing traffic and safety regulations when the incident occurred.

The matter has since been taken to court, with the Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade remanding Chidinma Obishe in prison till July 8, 2025, when her case will be heard.

As quoted by Commissioner Wahab, “The Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade has remanded her in prison till 8 July, 2025 when her case will be heard.”
