Oyo State Government commissions phase 1 of 11MW Ibadan hybrid power project

Oyo State Government has commissioned Phase 1 of the 11MW Badan Hybrid Power Project (IBHP) in a bid to enhance the state’s power infrastructure and promote sustainable development.

The commissioning ceremony, which took place at the Power House, State Secretariat, Ibadan, was performed by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State.

Governor Makinde, while speaking at the event, reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing reliable and sustainable power supply to the people of Oyo State.

The 11MW Badan Hybrid Power Project is a significant step towards achieving this goal, as it will provide clean and renewable energy to the state.

The project is also expected to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in the state.

The commissioning of Phase 1 of the project marks a major milestone in the state’s efforts to develop its power infrastructure and promote sustainable development.

The event was attended by top Government officials, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders in the power sector.
