Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed confidence in his state’s ability to thrive financially without support from the Federal Government.

According to Abiodun, Ogun State and Lagos State are the only two states in Nigeria that can survive on their own if the Federal Government stops distributing revenue.

“If, for any reason, the Federal Government chooses to stop distributing revenue to states in Nigeria, my state and Lagos State are the only two states that can survive on their own.” The Governor said.

This statement underscores Abiodun’s efforts to promote economic growth and self-sufficiency in Ogun State.

His administration has focused on developing key sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, and education.

As a successful businessman and politician, Abiodun brings a unique perspective to governance. His experience in the private sector has equipped him with the skills to drive economic growth and development in Ogun State ².

Abiodun’s statement has fueled interest in the financial independence of Nigerian states.

It also highlights the need for states to diversify their revenue streams and reduce dependence on federal allocations.

With his vision for a self-sufficient Ogun State, Abiodun is poised to make a lasting impact on the state’s economy and the lives of its citizens.
