The 2025 Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, has been hailed a grand success, with businessman and cancer survivor Farooq Oreagba, also known as “Mr. Steeze” or “The King of Steeze,” making a striking appearance.

According to Oreagba, the festival generated a whopping over 2 billion Naira, with CNN reporting over $10 million earned within Ijebu.

“I got my Airtel endorsement after last year’s own. This year, a lot of endorsement came towards me and I turned them down and channeled them to other families,” Oreagba said, highlighting his commitment to supporting other families during the festival.

Oreagba’s majestic appearance at the festival drew widespread attention, with many praising his sense of style and cultural pride.

The event, which honors the Awujale of Ijebuland, featured age-grade parades, traditional regalia, music, and cultural displays, showcasing the rich heritage of the Yoruba people.

The festival’s success has raised hopes for its continued growth and global recognition, with Governor Dapo Abiodun expressing his administration’s commitment to promoting the cultural heritage of Ogun State and harnessing its potential for socio-economic development.
