The Federal Government has reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to delivering stable electricity to Nigerians before the end of his tenure.

The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, made this declaration during a recent stakeholders’ engagement, where he outlined the administration’s roadmap towards achieving sustainable energy reform and improving power infrastructure across the country.

According to Adelabu, the Tinubu-led administration sees reliable electricity as a critical foundation for economic growth, job creation, and national development. He noted that several bold initiatives are already underway, including increased investments in the power generation and transmission sectors, expansion of off-grid solutions, and policy reforms to attract private sector participation.

“The President has made it clear that by the time he leaves office, Nigerians must enjoy stable and affordable electricity. We are working day and night to ensure this vision becomes a reality,” Adelabu stated.

He also emphasized that efforts are being intensified to address challenges facing the sector, such as gas supply constraints, infrastructure vandalism, and inefficiencies in electricity distribution.

The Minister called on all stakeholders, including state governments, private investors, and consumers, to collaborate with the federal government in achieving this national objective.

This renewed assurance comes amid growing public demand for improved power supply across Nigeria, especially in rural and industrial areas.
