Six Yoruba chiefs dethroned for attending labour party event without royal approval

The Ojora of Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom, Oba AbdulFatai Aromire Oyegbemi, has taken decisive action against six of his Chiefs, removing them from their traditional positions for violating palace protocol.

The dethroned Chiefs were found to have attended a Labour Party campaign flag-off event in Apapa without the monarch’s prior knowledge or approval.

The monarch summoned the Chiefs to the palace for clarification, where he expressed his disappointment and authority.

He reiterated that no Chief should make decisions or act on his behalf without his explicit consent, as they all serve to represent him and uphold the traditions of the land.

The six Chiefs who were dethroned are Chief Lateef Ojora, Chief Saliu Biliamin, Chief Taiwo Hassan, Chief Idris Oladipupo Ojora, Chief Hakeem Oseni, and Chief Sule Raji Balogun.

The monarch’s decision to dethrone the Chiefs demonstrate his commitment to maintaining order and coherence within his leadership structure.

The king sees the move as a reminder to all other Chiefs of their responsibilities while serving under the esteemed Ojora Kingdom.

During the palace meeting, Oba Oyegbemi also commended the present Government’s ongoing development initiatives in Ojora Land, expressing his commitment to continue supporting the Administration as it fosters growth and progress for the Kingdom.
