The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has sealed off Blessed Happy Homes Superstore located at 6th Avenue, 13th Road, Festac Town.

The store was found to be selling expired products, violating health and safety regulations, and putting customers at risk.

According to sources, LASCOPA officials stormed the superstore on Wednesday morning, following a tip-off from a concerned citizen.

Upon inspection, the officials discovered a large quantity of expired products, including food items, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.

The General Manager of LASCOPA who led the enforcement team, expressed disappointment and concern over the discovery. “It is unacceptable for any business to prioritize profits over the health and safety of its customers,” he said.

“We will not hesitate to take action against any business that engages in such practices.”

He further stated that the agency had received several complaints about the superstore in the past, but the management had failed to take corrective action.

β€œThis shutdown is a clear message to all businesses in Lagos State that we will not tolerate any form of consumer exploitation,” he said.

The affected superstore has been sealed off, and the management has been ordered to appear before LASCOPA to explain their actions.
