Interswitch to Begin Nat’l Science Competition Oct 29

She noted that the overall winner would receive N7.5 million worth of scholarship in any university of his or her choice in Africa and to be spread across five years, a laptop, and monthly stipends, while the first runner-up and second runner-up would receive N4 million and N1 million worth of scholarships, spread over three years and one year, a laptop each, and monthly stipends, respectively.

Eromosele explained further that many participants would be rewarded this year to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the competition,

According to her, the company has decided to give cash rewards to the fourth and up to the 21st position, who would make it to the finals and semi-finals of the competition in Nigeria and all their teachers, as well as six teachers in Kenya as a way of recognizing their efforts in preparing the students and laying the foundational bricks for a brighter future for them.

She added: “We also intend to give a total of 54 students with high scores from across the country who participated in the pre-qualifying stages of the competition held earlier in the year with free JAMB form as a way of encouraging them.”

Eromosele, however, expressed excitement over the great impact the competition was having on the students and STEM education on the continent.

She said the company would continue to be part of the success stories and journey to greatness of many youths in Africa.
