EFCC, Army Intelligence Corps Strengthen Collaboration Against Terrorist Financing

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps (NAIC) have agreed to deepen collaboration in combating terrorist financing and other financial crimes that threaten national security.
The agreement was reached on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Military Intelligence, Aliyu Abbas Idris, and senior NAIC officers to the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, at the Commissionβs headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.
Idris said the visit was aimed at reinforcing existing ties between both agencies and exploring new avenues of cooperation in tackling financial and security-related crimes.
He noted that the EFCCβs role in protecting Nigeriaβs financial system complements the militaryβs security operations, emphasizing that the fight against terrorism demands coordinated efforts across institutions.
He commended the EFCCβs ongoing contributions to national security and reaffirmed the armyβs commitment to sustaining the partnership to enhance operational synergy in addressing terrorism, insurgency, and other related threats.
