The inaugural Africa Sports & Tourism Awards (ASTA) is set to take place on April 25, 2024, at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, Nigeria.

This groundbreaking event, themed ‘Sports as a Catalyst for Accelerated Tourism Development in Africa,’ aims to recognize and celebrate the powerful intersection of sports and tourism on the African continent.

Supported by Project Fly With Us Africa, the Federal Ministry of Sports Development, and the African Tourism Board (ASTA) represents a pivotal moment in highlighting the immense potential of sports in driving tourism growth across Africa.

The awards ceremony will honour individuals, organizations, and initiatives that have demonstrated outstanding contributions to leveraging sports to propel tourism development.

From innovative sporting events that attract visitors to transformative community projects, ASTA will showcase the diverse ways in which sports serve as a catalyst for economic and social advancement.
