Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Defence Guest House,
Maitama District, Abuja.

Your Excellency,

Congratulatory Letter to the President-Elect of Nigeria

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Yoruba Nation Global Directorate [YNGD] and its Director, Princess Adeola Olamijulo-Ataiyero, we hereby extend our warmest congratulations and good wishes to you for your successful emergence as President-Elect at the just concluded and highly contested Presidential polls conducted on Saturday, 25th of February, 2023.

As you proceed to take on the onerous responsibilities of this apex office in the country, we urge you to develop closer relationship with the different segments of the Nigerian society who had entrusted their mandate to you by committing to a governance structure that engenders elimination of unhealthy competition and rancor.

This we believe would further endear you to the Nigerian masses.

We look forward to a leadership that promotes Unity, Peace, National cohesion and overall development of Nigerian space as you are reputed to have done with Lagos.

Nevertheless, permit us to seize this occasion to inform you that the Yoruba Nation Global Directorate, hosts a good number of other Yoruba Self-Determination Groups with membership drawn globally.

Our desire for Yoruba Self-Determination is premised on among others, Articles 3, 4, 7 and 18 of the 13th September, 2007 United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People [UNDRIP] of which Nigeria is a Signatory State and Article 20 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.

Thereby, we aim to revive and preserve for our posterity, the culture, destiny and the raising of the fast diminishing standard of life and living of the Omoluwabi Yoruba people whom God has placed in their ancestral Yorubaland in the Country, Nigeria.

Our pursuit of Self-Determination is premised on the perennial and implacable sufferings of the Yoruba Ethnic Nationality since Independence resulting in our growing existential threat and relevance as a people which we believe only our emancipation as a Nation can cure.

Having said this we wish to assure you of our continued support of your Administration and also wish you well as you stir the ship of the Nigerian State.

Please accept, Mr. President-Elect, the assurances of our esteemed consideration.
Hearty Congratulations.

Sincerely,

Sgd
