PDP leader, former Senate President in close door meeting with Tinubu

July 6, 2023 1 min read

Top leaders of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Wednesday visited President Bola Tinubu in his office.
Former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim and former National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisah Metuh were seen arriving at the villa for a closed door meeting with the President.

Anyim, who also contested the presidential ticket of his party last year was suspended by the PDP in March this year for alleged anti-party activity.
He had supported the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State Francis Nwifuru.
Metuh who was spokesman of the PDP has been under investigation and prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged money laundering.

Metuh had last year suddenly announced his resignation from the party but did not state his next political move.
