The Osun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, was reportedly caught up in an alleged attack on the Tinubu/AMBO campaign convoy on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

The incident reportedly occurred while the campaign convoy was returning from the APC Ife Federal Constituency canvassersโ€™ inauguration.

According to reports, unknown gunmen allegedly fired several shots at the convoy, with marks reportedly seen on one of the vehicles.

The incident has sparked reactions online, with some social media users questioning whether the reported attack actually occurred and raising doubts about the marks seen on the vehicle.

Some users questioned why several shots allegedly fired at the vehicle did not hit the driver or passengers, while others questioned whether the marks were consistent with bullet impacts.

However, the claims questioning the authenticity of the incident remain social media reactions and have not established that the attack was staged.

The development comes just days before the August 15 Osun State governorship election, amid heightened political activities across the state.
