The Mountain Top Chorale of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has won a gold medal at the 14th World Choir Games in Helsingborg, Sweden, delivering a major international achievement for Nigeria.
The Nigerian choir secured the gold medal in the Spiritual Category after scoring 87.38 points in the competition, which brought together choirs from different parts of the world.
The choir, conducted by Oluwasegun Okedunmola, also emerged champion of the Champions Competition, further placing Nigeria on the global stage in choral music.
The 2026 World Choir Games have attracted thousands of singers from more than 40 countries, with participants competing across several categories.
The achievement by the MFM choir adds to Nigeria’s growing representation in international cultural and artistic competitions, with the choir’s performance earning recognition among participants at the prestigious global event.
The World Choir Games, regarded as one of the largest international choral competitions, brings together choirs to compete, perform and celebrate different musical traditions and cultures.
