Former England captain and global football icon, David Beckham, has been officially knighted by King Charles III for his outstanding contributions to football, philanthropy, and British society.
The 50-year-old star, who was named in the Kingβs Birthday Honours list earlier this year, received the prestigious title of βSirβ during an investiture ceremony held at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Beckham, who earned 115 caps for England and captained the national team for six years, described the honour as one of the proudest moments of his life.
βI couldnβt be prouder,β he said. βIβm lucky enough to have travelled around the world and all people want to talk to me about is our monarchy. It makes me proud.β
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielderβwho also featured for LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germainβhas long been praised for his dedication both on and off the pitch. Beyond football, he has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005, championing childrenβs welfare and humanitarian causes globally.
