Tension in Benue as Armed Herdsmen Attack Anwule Community

Tension has enveloped Anwule community in Oglewu, Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State following a deadly attack by suspected armed herdsmen.

According to reports by Daily Post, several villagers were killed while many others remain missing after the assailants invaded the area on Monday, targeting farmers working on their farmlands.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers, armed with machetes and other dangerous weapons, launched the assault without warning, leaving trails of blood and destruction in their wake.

The incident has forced residents to flee their homes, seeking refuge in neighboring communities to escape further violence.

As of the time of filing this report, the exact number of casualties could not be confirmed, as security operatives were yet to reach the affected area.

Meanwhile, tension remains high as search and rescue efforts continue for missing villagers.
