A disturbing video and tweet has sparked widespread outrage on social media, showing a man, identified as Marquis of Infamy, suspected to be an Igbo man, subjecting two young Yoruba boys to hard labor for begging him for school fees.

Instead of offering financial assistance, Marquis forced the boys to dry cocoa, citing a biased remark about Awolowo education not favoring them.

The video’s caption read, “This two young Yoruba boys came to beg me for school fees because his ebinpawa papa no fit afford am. I told him to go and dry cocoa because Awolowo education never favour them. Do not hate me, hate the game.” Marquis tweeted.

The situation took a darker turn when Marquis responded to a comment from a user, Tribal Chief, suggesting he shouldn’t feed the boys after their labor. Marquis wrote, “No give am food ooo, after he labour in vein tell him to go come.” Marquis further escalated the cruelty, stating he wouldn’t pay the boys for their labor and would ensure their parents begged on their knees.

He wrote, “Even the payment they won’t see. Their parents must kneel and beg.”

The online community condemned Marquis’s actions, with many calling him wicked and inhumane. Ike Cosmos tweeted, “What? That’s very inhumane. You can’t make those children work without paying them.

That’s very evil.” Another user asked, “Even after making them work, which is the best you can do, you still won’t pay them? And you feel happy saying that?”

The backlach shows concerns about child exploitation and the need for empathy in our society.
