‘Your leadership align with the values of Islam’ – Alaafin of Oyo praised for lifting Ramadan movement restrictions

The Association of Islamic Youth Scholars in Oyo Town has expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the Alaafin of Oyo, Abimbola Akeem Owoade, for his prompt response to the concerns raised by the Muslim community regarding movement restrictions during Ramadan.

“We acknowledge and profoundly respect your Majesty’s decision to lift the restrictions, allowing for the unhindered observance of Ramadan, which is a sacred period for all Muslims,” the association stated.

The association commended the Alaafin’s leadership, saying it aligns with the values of Islam, which emphasizes respecting leaders and contributing positively to society.

They also praised the mutual respect between the Alaafin’s office and the Muslim community in Oyo Town, looking forward to continued harmonious coexistence.

The association concluded by saying, “We will never cease making your Majesty proud everywhere in the world as we’re proud of you and conveying our heritage in the positive way that ‘Ajise bi Oyo laari, Oyo kiise bi baba eni kookan-an’ the association mentioned
