In a historic ceremony steeped in tradition, the City of London has bestowed its esteemed Freedom of the City of London award upon Nigerian engineer Olakunle Faleti, a member of Think Yoruba First (TYF) organisation.

The honour, conferred on June 11, 2025, at the Chamberlain’s Court, Guildhall, recognizes Faleti’s exceptional service and expertise in logistics and transport planning.

Dr. Bukola Adeniji, Secretary of TYF, said Faleti’s recognition is a testimony to his significant contributions to the logistics profession, particularly in London.

“This honour is a celebration of his professional accomplishments and commitment to shaping the future of transport and logistics in the UK and beyond,” Adeniji stated.

Faleti, a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE), holds a master’s degree in transport planning and management.

His work has consistently advanced best practices in construction logistics and urban freight planning.

“The recognition is a fitting tribute to Engr. Faleti’s dedication to his craft,” Dr Bukola added.
