The United States of America President, Donald Trump, revealed plans to assume ownership of the Gaza Strip, with the goal of redeveloping the region.

Trump made the comments during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too,” Trump stated.

When asked to elaborate on his vision, Trump explained, “We will own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site.”

Trump envisions a “long-term ownership position” for the US, with plans to “create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area.”

He even went so far as to say, “This could be the Riviera of the Middle East.”

When questioned about the potential for Palestinians to resettle in the region, Trump responded, “People living there. The world’s people… it would include Palestinians.”

Netanyahu appeared receptive to the idea, stating, “I think it’s something that could change history.”

The Saudi Arabian government also weighed in, reiterating their commitment to establishing an independent Palestinian state and emphasizing that “a permanent and just peace cannot be achieved without the Palestinian people obtaining their legitimate rights.”

Trump’s proposal has raised widespread controversy, with many criticizing the plan as unrealistic and potentially inflammatory.

As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the international community will respond to Trump’s bold announcement.
