In a thrilling encounter at the Stadion Narodowy, Warsow in Poland on Wednesday night, Real Madrid defeated Atalanta 2-0 to claim their sixth UEFA Super Cup title, solidifying their position as the competition’s record holders.

This achievement marks a historic milestone for the Spanish giants.

The highly anticipated match showcased exceptional skill and determination from both teams, setting the tone for an exhilarating European season.

Hours before the match, R’Madrid leveled with Milan and Barcelona as the most successful sides in the competition’s history with 5 super cup each.

This historic win cements Real Madrid’s status as a dominant force in European football.

The match which ended 0-0 in the first half minutes of the game sees Atlanta with a lot of attacking pressure against R’Madrid.

The story change in the second half of the game when Federico Valverde was able to fire the ball into the back of the net from close range after receiving a pass from Vinicius Jr.

Nigeria sensational attacker and Atlanta forward, Ademola Lookman, provided some exceptional composure in the game, breaking into the penalty area many times, but his performance was not enough to stop his side from losing the game.

It was to be Mbappe who took all the headlines, though, opening his Real Madrid account in the 68th minute.
