The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police (CP) for Lagos State Command.
This announcement was made by Ikechukwu Ani, the spokesman for the PSC, in a statement released on Monday afternoon
Prior to his appointment, CP Jimoh served as the Commissioner of Police for the Port Authority, Eastern Ports Command in Rivers State.
As a seasoned police officer and native of Kwara State, Jimoh brings a wealth of experience in police operations, administration, and strategic communications to his new role.
Throughout his illustrious career, CP Jimoh has held various high-profile positions, including Deputy Commissioner of Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner of General Investigation.
His expertise has been further honed through extensive professional training, both locally and internationally
Some of his notable training programs include combat operations course at the Mobile training College in Maiduguri, African union miission in Darfur, Sudan among others .
CP Jimoh’s outstanding contributions to the field of public relations have earned him the prestigious Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year, conferred by the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.
As the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State Command, CP Jimoh is expected to leverage his vast experience and expertise to enhance security and policing efforts in the region.
