President Bola Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 30,150 personnel across four key paramilitary agencies to bolster internal security and enhance national service delivery.

The breakdown of the recruitment includes 10,000 new personnel for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), 10,000 for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), 5,150 new recruits for the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and 5,000 personnel for the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

Additionally, 209 new personnel will be recruited for the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) Secretariat.

The CDCFIB has requested a waiver to shorten the advertisement period for job placements from six weeks to three weeks to expedite the recruitment process.

A financial clearance from the Budget Office of the Federation has also been secured, confirming that funding is available to support the exercise.

This large-scale recruitment aims to strengthen the capacity of these agencies to deliver effective security services and enhance national development.
