Police foil kidnapping attempt, arrest three suspects in Lagos.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspects involved in a failed kidnapping attempt of a car dealer in Ikorodu.

The command spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, said three individuals have been arrested in connection with a failed kidnapping of a car dealer on Ebute Igbogbo Road in Ikorodu.

The suspectsβ€”Taiwo Olayinka, Azeez Sodiq, and Saheed Moonstruckβ€”were featured in a viral video posted by an X user with the handle @XTrends. In the video, the suspects are shown naked, covered in blood, and pleading for help.

The X user captioned the video, β€œThese boys tried to kidnap a car dealer today at Ebute Igbogbo Road, Ikorodu.”

In response to the video, the Spokesman retweeted, noting, β€œThe three suspects, Taiwo Olayinka (30), Azeez Sodiq (33), and Saheed Moonstruck (23), have been in our custody since yesterday, shortly after the incident. We are still working to apprehend the two remaining suspects who fled. An investigation is underway.”

When asked for an update on the investigation, the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer reported, β€œThe three suspects remain in custody; no additional arrests have been made.”
