OYOSUBEB reschedules Interview date to honor Isese day

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) has adjusted its interview schedule to accommodate Isese Day, a public holiday in Oyo State.

The interview initially planned for August 20, 2024, will now take place on August 26, 2024.

The Isese Day is an annual celebration to honor Yoruba culture, traditions, and heritage.

Acknowledging the significance of the day, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, the Executive Chairman of the Board, promptly rescheduled the interview to Monday, August 26, 2024.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Adeniran highlighted the importance of honoring cultural practices.

He assured that all candidates would still have equal chances to participate in the final stage of the recruitment process.

Adeniran explained, β€œGiven this observation, the interviews initially scheduled for Wednesday, August 20, 2024, for the affected LGAs have been moved to Monday,” as stated by the Chairman.

The local government areas whose interviews have been rescheduled from Tuesday, August 20, 2024, are Saki West, Saki East, Irepo, Oriire, Olorunsogo, Orelope, Ogbomoso North, and Ogbomoso South.

Adeniran has urged strict adherence to the revised timetable.

He added that the Board’s decision has been widely accepted by stakeholders, who appreciate the Board’s sensitivity and responsiveness.

The updated timetable is as follows:

  • Wednesday, August 14, 2024: Egbeda and Atisbo
  • Thursday, August 15, 2024: Akinyele, Afijio, and Ibarapa Central
  • Friday, August 16, 2024: Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Ibarapa East, Ibarapa North, Lagelu, and Iwajowa
  • Monday, August 19, 2024: Ido and Ibadan South West
  • Wednesday, August 21, 2024: Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West, Surulere, and Ogo-Oluwa
  • Thursday, August 22, 2024: Ibadan South-East, Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan North-West
  • Friday, August 23, 2024: Oluyole and Ona Ara
  • Monday, August 26, 2024: Saki West, Saki East, Irepo, Oriire, Olorunsogo, Orelope, Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South
