The Oyo State government, through its Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has announced that the 2024 entrance examination into schools of science would be held on Saturday, July 27, at designated venues across the state.

A statement issued by the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Salihu Abdulwaheed, indicated that the examination would take place at the Federal College of Forestry, Jericho, Ibadan; Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, CBT Centre, Oyo; The Polytechnic Ibadan, CBT Centre, Ibadan; Yinbol College CBT centre, Orogun, Ibadan; LAUTECH CBT Centre, Ogbomoso, Damdav CBT Centre, Okeho and Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, CBT Centre, Eruwa.

The commissioner, however, advised students to visit their schools of registration to collect their ID cards, latest on Friday, July 26.

He, therefore, warned students against indulging in any form of examination malpractice.

The commissioner equally admonished parents/guardians of students and other members of the public to avoid loitering around examination centres.

Prof. Adelabu also directed principals of the schools to make adequate arrangements for the collection of identification cards and smooth conduct of the exercise.

Similarly, the commissioner hinted that Saturday, July 27, had been fixed as the date for the conduct of its screening exercise (common entrance) for primary six pupils transiting into public junior secondary schools in the coming academic session for 2024/2025.

He hinted that officials of the ministry would be moving around to monitor the conduct of these examinations to ensure orderliness.
