The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has made a historic gift of 3 acres of land to the International Council for Ifa Religion (ICIR) for the construction of the largest World Ifa Temple in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The temple, located at the Stadium area, Route 7, Ile-Ife, will serve as a major pilgrimage site for Ifa and Orisha devotees worldwide.

This monumental project is expected to attract devotees from across the globe, promoting cultural exchange, spiritual growth, and tourism in the region.

The Ooni’s generous gesture underscores his commitment to preserving Yoruba cultural heritage and promoting the Ifa religion globally.

The World Ifa Temple will provide a sacred space for Ifa and Orisha devotees to worship, learn, and connect with their spiritual roots. It will also serve as a center for cultural exchange, education, and research, promoting a deeper understanding of Yoruba culture and traditions.

The Ooni’s gift has been widely applauded by the Ifa community and beyond, with many hailing it as a significant step towards promoting cultural heritage and spiritual growth.

The construction of the World Ifa Temple is expected to commence soon, with the ICIR working tirelessly to bring the project to fruition.

The project is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, creating jobs and opportunities for the community. The Ooni’s vision for the temple is to create a sacred space that will unite Ifa and Orisha devotees worldwide, promoting peace, harmony, and spiritual growth.
