October 30, 2023 2 min read

Indigenes of Oke-Ogun, Γ’yΓ³ State, under the aegis of Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF), the umbrella body of all socio-cultural organisations in the zone, under the leadership of Ahmed Raji, SAN, will converge in Iseyin this weekend for a general meeting aimed at discussing ways to foster development of the zone further.

The event will also feature a civic reception for all traditional rulers and political office holders in the area.

The purpose of the gathering, according to a statement by ODCF’s publicity secretary, Prince Remi Adegbola, was to enable Oke-Ogun people to deliberate on the state of affairs in the area to chart the way forward for the development of the area as well as serve as an avenue to appreciate traditional rulers and political office holders for their untiring, patriotic and diplomatic roles in facilitating development into Oke-Ogun from the federal and state governments.

According to the statement, ODCF believed that the general meeting would allow all sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun to brainstorm and come up with suggestions and resolutions that would further move the zone forward politically, socially and economically.

β€œSequel to the meeting, an economic summit is also scheduled for Wednesday, 6th December, at Harmony Garden, Gedu Estate, Saki”, the statement added.
