A distressing cry for help has gone out from a beleaguered farmer in Ita Alhaji, Ogun State, whose farmland is under attack by armed individuals allegedly sent by Oba Fatai Akamo, the Olu of Itori.

The farmer, who claims to be the legal owner of the land, has seen his property destroyed by a bulldozer and now fears for his life and livelihood.

According to the farmer, Oba Fatai Akamo and Mr. Shodimu Kayode Samuel, the Baale of Olorunshogo, are behind the invasion of his farmland.

The farmer has called on Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Shuaib Salisu, Hon. Idris Olalekan Kushimo, and all well-meaning Nigerians to intervene and protect him.

“It is unacceptable that a traditional ruler like Oba Fatai Akamo would allegedly use armed men to invade my farmland,” the farmer said.

“I am the legal owner of this land, and I have all the necessary documents to prove it. I urge the Ogun State Government to intervene and stop this brazen land grab.”

The Ogun State Government has been called upon to take immediate action to address this situation and ensure the farmer’s safety and security.

The Government must also investigate the allegations made by the farmer and hold those responsible for the destruction of his property accountable.

Furthermore, measures must be put in place to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Ogun State has a rich history of agriculture, with 1.2 million hectares of arable land available for farming.

The State government has also implemented initiatives to support farmers and promote agricultural development.

However, incidents like this undermine the efforts of farmers and the government, and highlight the need for greater protection and support for those working in the agricultural sector.

The Ogun State Government must take this incident seriously and act swiftly to address the concerns of the farmer and ensure his safety and security.

The Government must also work to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future and promote a safe and secure environment for farmers to operate.
