The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has congratulated members of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II on the successful completion of their one-year mandatory national service.

In a statement released by the NYSC Directorate Headquarters, Brigadier General Nafiu commended the corps members for their dedication, discipline, and commitment throughout the service year. He highlighted their contributions to community development projects, education, healthcare outreach, and other key sectors, noting that their efforts have significantly advanced the cause of national development across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The Director-General urged the outgoing corps members to view their transition into the larger society as a new chapter filled with greater responsibilities. He encouraged them to build on the experiences and skills acquired through the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, and to pursue self-reliance as a viable path to economic empowerment.

Brigadier General Nafiu also emphasized the need to uphold the core values of unity and peaceful coexistence—ideals upon which the NYSC was founded. He encouraged the corps members to register with the NYSC Alumni Association to sustain the bonds of service and fellowship formed during the programme.

As they officially exit the Scheme, the Director-General wished them success in their future endeavors and reaffirmed that the NYSC remains proud of their service and achievements.
