A Nigerian, Daniel Akintola, has made a landmark history by becoming the first African to win the Entrepreneur of the Year of IAMBCU Award 2024 at Birmingham City University, England.

Akintola is the co-founder of Oh Prime TV, an online television bouquet which is available on all smart TV, smart boxes and mobile platforms.

The IAMBCU Award 2024 was held on Thursday 23 May in Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s Bradshaw Hall, where he appreciated the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye and the Dove Media for their influence on his business.

Speaking with Vanguard, Akintola said: “The Entrepreneur of the Year Award category recognises budding and seasoned entrepreneurs, who are making waves in the business world.”

Oh Prime TV was co-founded by Akintola and the RCCG, which has 2.7 million users who converge on it daily to stream over 450 multilingual channels.

“I emerged the first African student to win the prestigious ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award, courtesy of Oh Prime TV,” Akintola said.
