Mass Resignation Rocks PDP as Former Governor, Rep Member, Others Dump Party

The crisis rocking the opposition Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) deepened Tuesday with the mass resignation of former Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha and other party chieftains all from Imo State, opposed to Illya Umar Damagum chairmanship.

The party chieftains in different letters addressed to its Acting National Chairman on Tuesday, accused the party of internal crisis.

Those who quit are the former Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha; member representing Isiala Mbano/Okigwe/Onuimo Federal Constituency, Hon. Onwubuariri Obinna Kingsley; member of the Board of Trustees, Chief Hon. (Barr.) Chris Okewulonu and the Secretary of Imo PDP Elders Committee, Obioma Iheduru.
