Makinde Visits Olubadan-Designate Ladoja, Discusses Coronation Plans

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan-designate, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, to discuss preparations for his upcoming coronation as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The meeting, held at Ladoja’s residence in Ibadan, centered on key aspects of the coronation ceremony, including security, logistics, and the traditional rites that precede the official installation.

Governor Makinde described the Olubadan-designate as a statesman whose reign is expected to further strengthen peace, unity, and development in Ibadanland. He assured that the state government would provide full support to ensure a smooth and historic coronation befitting the ancient throne.

In his response, Ladoja expressed appreciation to the governor for the visit and his commitment to preserving Ibadan’s cultural heritage. He noted that the forthcoming coronation would not only celebrate tradition but also symbolize continuity and the enduring values of the Ibadan people.

Details of the coronation date and program are expected to be officially announced in the coming days.
