The government’s appeal comes as the state is still recovering from the wounds of the #EndSARS protest and seeks to avoid a repeat of the wanton destruction that followed.

β€œThe Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lagos State, Gbenga Omotoso made this known while responding to questions by a Channels TV reporter at the Ojota Underbridge on Friday.

β€œYou, the protesters, have exercised your rights. And the Governor has heard them. Now is the time to go home so that Mr. Governor can move into action. Now is the time to end the protest because Mr. Sanwo-Olu has heard you loud and clear.

β€œHe further said that the State is yet to recover from the wounds and scars of the #EndSARS protest and does not want the wanton destruction that followed in its wake to be repeated. Thus, it is necessary to appeal to the protesters to allow the Government to work on their wishes.
