Lagos leads, set to take flight with new Lekki-Epe International airport

The Lagos State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Summa Group, a renowned international construction company, to develop and construct the highly anticipated Lekki-Epe International Airport.

Governor Sanwo-Olu made the announcement on his official X handle

β€œWe signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the internationally acclaimed construction company, Summa Group, to develop and construct the much awaited Lekki-Epe International Airport.” He mentioned.

According to the Lagos Governor, the Lekki-Epe International Airport is poised to revolutionize travel and create new opportunities for businesses and residents across the state.

This strategic partnership is a crucial step towards achieving the state’s vision of enhanced connectivity, economic growth, and attracting global investments.

The airport’s development is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, driving growth and job creation.

This initiative is part of the state’s efforts to improve infrastructure and alleviate congestion at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport.

The Lekki-Epe International Airport will play a vital role in positioning Lagos as a major economic hub, both nationally and internationally.

With the MoU in place, the stage is set for the commencement of the airport’s development.

The Lagos State Government and Summa Group will work together to bring this vision to life, transforming the state’s aviation landscape and cementing Lagos’ status as a premier economic destination.
