Video: Ooni of Ife welcomes royal family in grand homecoming ceremony

The palace of the Ooni of Ife was filled with joy and celebration on Friday as the revered monarch, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, welcomed his queen, Yeye Omi Oodua, Olori Ashley Ogunwusi, and their newborn son, Prince Ademakinwa, in a grand homecoming ceremony.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and gratitude as the royal family was received with traditional rites and ceremonies.

Prince Ademakinwa, who was born on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Princess Royal Hospital in London, United Kingdom, was the center of attention as his parents proudly presented him to the gathering. The Ooni had earlier shared the joyous news of his son’s birth on his official Instagram page, expressing his gratitude to God for the blessing of a new life.

The Ooni and his queen were visibly overwhelmed with emotion as they expressed their gratitude to their guests and the Almighty for the blessing of their child.
