Lagos empowers farmers with Agro-Export business training

The Lagos State Government trains farmers on the prospect and procedures of Afro-export business in a bid to boost the state economy and increase farmers income.

A minimum of 50 farmers received training from the State, beginning Thursday.

The 2-day training was organized by the Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority (LSADA), held on Thursday at LSADA Complex, Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos.

The Programme Manager of LSADA, Engineer Aliru Alade, said the training through the aid of the State Government was organized to ensure that Lagos State farmers are equipped with the right knowledge on international agro-export which could increase their income through massive demands.

He said: ‘Because marketing and exporting of agro products guarantees prosperity this(training) is a very important assignment for us and we cannot afford to fail. Hence, the presence of international experts at this workshop to train our farmers on how to grow the export of agricultural produce.”

Speaking at the programme, The facilitator and Head of Training and Agro Export at 3T Impex Trade Academy, Mr. Caleb Afuwape, emphasized the importance of agro-export in boosting the state’s economy and encouraged farmers to take advantage of the training.

The empowerment of these farmers with agro-export knowledge, demonstrate that the State Government is taking a significant step towards transforming the agricultural sector and contributing to the state’s economic growth.
