Just In: Explosion hits Abuja Islamic school, leaves one dead, four Injured

Tragedy struck in Abuja as an explosion rocked an Islamic school, resulting in the death of one student and injuring four others.

The incident occurred at the Islamiyyah school in the Kuchibiyu community, Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to eyewitnesses, the explosion caused widespread panic in the area.

John Gabaya, Chairman of Bwari Area Council, confirmed the incident, stating that he had previously expressed concerns about the school’s activities.

Gabaya revealed that he had informed the local police about suspicious activities at the school, including the arrival of students from Katsina state.

The police and officials from the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) have been deployed to the scene to investigate the incident.

The cause of the explosion is yet to be confirmed, but sources suggest that a bomb may have been involved.

The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge soon.
