The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has announced the completion of the New Market by Agboyi-Ketu, formerly known as Mandela Market.

The modern market is set for commissioning and promises to be an economic engine for the local community.

According to the Executive Chairman, “This is a modern, resilient, and future-ready market built with intention and innovation.”

The market’s strategic location in the heart of Mile 12 makes it a hub for economic activity.

The Chairman highlighted the market’s unique features, saying, “We proudly adopted burnt clay bricks in its construction to significantly mitigate the risk of fire outbreaks, a thoughtful touch that reflects our commitment to safety, durability, and smart design.”

The New Market is expected to energize the local economy and contribute meaningfully to the broader economic fabric of Lagos State. The Chairman emphasized, “This is what purposeful governance looks like, and Agboyi-Ketu continues to lead by example.”

The market’s commissioning will unveil its new name, further solidifying its presence in the community.
