Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji elected as new majority leader of Lagos State H’Assembly

A dedicated representative of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01, Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji has been elected as the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The election took place on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

This development comes as a result of his leadership skill, legislative excellence, social impact, and a strong commitment to his constituency and the state.

Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji born on May 3, 1983, in Lagos, has had a distinguished career in both the private and public sectors.

He holds a (link unavailable) in Estate Management from the University of Lagos and a Master’s in Facility Management.

Prior to his election as Majority Leader, Hon. Adewale served as Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation in both the 9th and 10th Legislative Assemblies.

Under his leadership, the Transport Sector Reform Law was passed, significantly enhancing Lagos State’s transport infrastructure and services.

Hon. Adewale is also deeply committed to the education and welfare of his constituents. He established the Adewale Temitope Adedeji Educational Initiatives (ATA-EI), a visionary project aiming to make Ifako-Ijaiye Nigeria’s most educated local government area by 2037.

Through the ATA-EI, over 6,000 students have received free JAMB and GCE forms, and over 90 students have been awarded scholarships in various tertiary institutions across the country.

As Majority Leader, Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji is poised to leverage his extensive experience, leadership skills, and commitment to progress in driving the legislative agenda of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
