The Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Folashodun Shonubi, has dismissed several individuals, including a relative of former President Muhammadu Buhari, a senator’s daughter and son-in-law, the daughter of the former Inspector General of Police, and 80 others.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Folashodun Shonubi, has terminated the employment of influential politicians’ sons and daughters in from the apex bank.

According to emerging reports, Shonubi sacked a close relative of former President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as daughters and in-laws of other prominent Nigerians.

Sources claim that the individuals dismissed by the new CBN governor, were hired without following the proper procedures and lacked the qualifications required to work at the country’s apex bank.

Those affected included close relatives of former President Muhammadu Buhari, the daughter and son-in-law of Senator Ali Ndume, daughter of former Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, and 80 other employees who are the children of influential political figures in the country.

The new administration at the CBN has stated that these individuals were hired without adhering to the provisions outlined in the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Act regarding employment.
