Fire Guts Building Housing Yinka Ayefele’s Businesses in Ibadan

A fire outbreak on Friday evening engulfed a building housing multiple businesses owned by renowned musician and broadcaster, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The incident reportedly began around 7:30 p.m., sending panic through the area as thick smoke billowed from the structure. According to eyewitnesses, the building accommodates several of Ayefele’s ventures, including the Merry Makers’ Band office, Tiwantiwa Radio, Blast FM, and Fresh FM radio stations.

Men and officers of the Oyo State Fire Service promptly arrived at the scene to combat the flames. Firefighters were seen working tirelessly to prevent the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings. As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been confirmed.

Efforts are currently underway to assess the extent of the damage, while security personnel have cordoned off the area to control crowds and ensure safety.
