The Ekiti State Government has announced a call for applications from suitably qualified medical professionals, both within and outside the hospital, to fill vacant positions at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti.
The information was made available by the Ekiti Ministry of Information through a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun.
The recruitment drive is part of the government’s effort to strengthen the healthcare system and ensure optimal service delivery in all health institutions across the state.
Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun highlighted that the advertised positions include Consultants in Dentistry with specializations in Preventive Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Community Oral Health, and Paedodontics/Orthodontics, as well as Physiotherapists. Other positions advertised are Registrars (CONMESS 3) for the departments of Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Laboratory Medicine (Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Microbiology, and Morbid Anatomy).
The minimum requirements for applicants include a recognized MBBS/BDS qualification, full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), evidence of Primary Fellowship Examination (from NPMCN or WACP/WACS), and postgraduate qualifications where applicable for Consultants (Dentistry). Applicants for the Physiotherapists category must possess a Degree in Physiotherapy and evidence of registration with the Rehabilitation Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria. All applicants must have an NYSC Discharge Certificate or Certificate of Exemption.
The Commissioner advised interested applicants to obtain application forms at the Registry Unit, Department of Establishments & Training, Directorate of Administration, EKSUTH, Ado-Ekiti. Completed application forms should be submitted in a brown envelope with the position applied for clearly indicated at the top right-hand corner. All applications must be addressed to The Director of Administration, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, P.M.B. 5355, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, and submitted by hand within two weeks.
Reiterating the commitment of the State Government to creating job opportunities for youths and reinforcing healthcare delivery services in the State, Olatunbosun said the development is a strategic opportunity for qualified medical professionals to join a reputable institution and contribute meaningfully to the health and wellbeing of Ekiti residents.
