The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards in the men’s categories, celebrating Africa’s finest players, coaches, clubs, and national teams who have excelled over the past year.

The awards aim to honour outstanding achievements and contributions to the growth of African football within the period from January 6 to October 15, 2025.

In a statement released on Monday via its official website, CAF disclosed that the nominees were selected by a panel comprising members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee, seasoned coaches, CAF Legends, and selected media representatives.

The committee evaluated players and coaches based on their performances in domestic, continental, and international competitions, with ten nominees shortlisted in each category.

Cameroon’s André Frank Zambo Anguissa and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah lead the pack, following remarkable seasons with their respective clubs Napoli and Liverpool as well as impressive performances for their national teams.

The CAF Awards ceremony, which recognises excellence in African football, is expected to feature categories such as Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, and National Team of the Year.
