BREAKING 🇳🇬⚖️: Army Exposes Alleged Coup Plot – Financial Trails, Secret Meetings Uncovered

The Nigerian Army has told a Federal High Court in Abuja that it uncovered an alleged plot to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, naming key suspects including Col. M. A. Ma’aji, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Garba (rtd.), and four others currently standing trial. A military witness said the probe began after credible intelligence flagged suspicious movements and contacts, leading to arrests and seizure of devices and documents.

According to the testimony, forensic analysis exposed coded communications, operational plans, and links among the accused, while investigators traced multi million naira transactions allegedly used to fund the operation. The court also heard that the suspects held secret meetings in Abuja to coordinate plans aimed at removing the current government and installing an alternative leadership structure.

Prosecutors said the network involved both military personnel and civilians, with funds allegedly routed through private channels to avoid detection. The six defendants are facing 13-count charges including treason, conspiracy, terrorism, and money laundering, as proceedings continue under tight security with protected witnesses.
