BREAKING: “We Shall Rise Again” — Alapo Community Thanks Kwara Govt, SSS for Listening, Demands Action on Ilorin East Grievances

February 12, 2026 1 min read

The Alapo Community in Ilorin East Local Government Area, Kwara State, has publicly expressed gratitude to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Kwara State Government, and Hon. Garba Lukman Agbelere, Chairman of Ilorin East Local Government Council, for sending delegates to assess the community’s longstanding grievances.

In a statement released by its spokesperson, Kamal Babatunde Alao Ajani Ogunsina Alapo Kareem, the community confirmed that its concerns were formally presented to officials of the State Security Service (SSS) and Nigeria Police Force, who were dispatched by the governor.

“Our request and demands have been received by the SSS and the local government. All original documents have been submitted and delivered to the delegates of the state and local government. We are now waiting for a response,” the statement read.

The community also extended appreciation to its Facebook followers and well-wishers across Yoruba land, particularly Omoluabi ethos supporters from all Yoruba states and Ilorin East.

“Ilorin East shall rise again. We shall all rejoice at last. Freedom and independence of Ilorin East is inevitable,” Alapo declared.

The group prayed for divine guidance over the Kwara State Government, indigenes, and all Nigerians.
