Chief Victor Omololu Olunloyo, the former Governor of Oyo State, has died at 89, just days before his 90th birthday.

He passed away in the early hours of Sunday, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable service to Nigeria and humanity.

Olunloyo held several notable titles and achievements, including Balogun of Oyo and Otun Bobasewa of Ife, showcasing his prominence in the community

Alos, the first rector of Ibadan Polytechnic and Kwara State Polytechnic, shaping Nigeria’s educational landscape

The news of his death was confirmed by Barrister Oladapo Ogunwusi, a former Editor of the Nigerian Tribune, who described the family as having a “heavy heart but gratitude to the Almighty” for his life and achievements.

The family has requested understanding and support as they make arrangements for his burial.

Olunloyo’s extensive service to Nigeria and humanity has been a source of pride for his family and associates.

His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
