A social media user, known as The General Snow, on X has raised controversy with claims of influencing 81 members to leave the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

This was contained in a tweet spotted by The Yoruba Times on Sunday, July 06, 2025.

The General Snow stated that the number could be more, but 81 had been verified by him.

Describing the RCCG as a “bigoted business centre”, The General Snow expressed satisfaction with the development, saying: “I have successfully made 81 people stop attending RCCG. It could be more, but this number has been verified by me. May God strengthen me and give those still there the sense to leave that bigoted business center and choose a Christ-like church where the word of God is truly preached and practiced.” The user tweeted.

The General Snow’s claims have raised eyebrows, with many questioning the motivations behind his actions.

While the exact reasons for his stance against the RCCG remain unclear, his tweet has generated significant attention and debate on social media.

The RCCG has not yet issued an official response to The General Snow’s claims.

However, the tweet has raised a wave of reactions, with some people questioning the user’s intentions and others commending his actions.
