Organisers of the prestigious Ballon d’Or have outlined the three key criteria that will determine the winner of the 2025 edition of the award.

According to France Football, the first consideration will be individual performances, with emphasis on the decisive and impressive character of a player’s displays throughout the season.

The second criterion focuses on team performances and achievements, highlighting the importance of collective success at club and national team level.

Finally, the organisers listed class and fair play as the third determinant, stressing that sportsmanship and conduct both on and off the pitch will be factored into the final decision.

The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled to take place later this year in Paris.
